Prices and Courses
Auckland Trailer Training offer One,Two and Three day training courses for all students aged 17+ who hold a Full Driving Licence (Category B) and wish to obtain a licence allowing them to tow a trailer (Category B+E). click here for the dsa minimum vehicle test requirments. Auckland Trailer Training prices are £30 per hour and for this you recieve top quality tuition, the use of either a Vauxhall Astra SRI 150 1.9cdti or a Landrover Freelander TD4 along with an Indespension Tav4 box trailer, all the fuel during training and for the Test, plus full insurance cover. On the first day's training, students are given an information booklet designed to help them troughout the course.
Proir to any course being taken we will need to have a two hour assessment to establish your level of ability. Cost £50

1 Day Course £180 | Our 1 day course (6 hours) comprises of a full day of instruction the B+E Test will be taken the following day. This course would be best suited for someone who has recently taken and been unfortunate enough to fail the test. |

2 Day Course £360 | Our 2 day courses (12 hour) comprises a full day of instruction on the first day, followed by a break of 3-7 days. The second day includes follow-up tuition and the B+E Test will be taken the following day. If you prefer, we will run this Course back to back. This course would suite someone who has some towing experience. |

3 Day Course £540 | Our 3 day courses (18 hour) comprises a full day of instruction on the first day, followed by a break of 3-7 days. The second and third days includes follow-up tuition and the B+E Test will be taken the following day. Again if you prefer, we will run this Course back to back. This course would suite someone who has very little towing experience. |

DSA Test Fee
The cost the B+E test is payable to the Driving Standards Agency which as from April 1st 2009 costs £115 on a week day and a additional £26 for a Saturday test. Auckland Trailer Training prefer to make this booking for you so the fee for the test is added to which ever course you take above and must be paid prior to the course being taken.
Auckland Trailer Training run a one-to-one form of tuition, it is also posible to take two students together. We never take more than 2 students on a course at any one time.
All the courses can be run with a break of either 3-7days or back to back, to allow students time to practice the exercises they learnt on the first day, in readiness for the second or third day of training. We have found that this method of training can make the difference between those who pass first time, and those who fail. If there is a time limit for students to qualify, they may opt for 'back to back' training.
If you have been towing large trailers, caravans, boats or horse-boxes, and you do NOT have the correct entitlement (Category B+E)
on your licence, you are running the risk of 9 points on your licence, and a fine.
3 points for 'no category'.
6 points for 'no insurance'.
There could also be a fine of £400+
